Statements of Faith
Statements of Faith
We believe that the Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.
We believe there is one God who eternally exists as three distinct persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. They are one in essence, but distinct in person and function.
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His substitutionary work on the cross, His bodily resurrection from the dead, and His exaltation to the right hand of God.
We believe the only hope of redemption for all humans is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God. Salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ. By the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, being justified by grace through faith, man becomes an heir of God, according to the hope of eternal life.
We believe that all matters of faith and conduct must be evaluated on the basis of Holy Scripture, which is our infallible guide. It is imperative that we correctly understand, articulate, and abide by what the Bible teaches on all matters, including but not limited to the sanctity of life beginning at conception; the creation of mankind in His image: male and female, sexually different but with equal personal dignity; the preservation and affirmation of one’s biological gender; and the ordination and creation of marriage to exist between one man and one woman, with absolute marital fidelity.
This Statement of Beliefs does not exhaust the extent of our religious beliefs. The Bible, as the inspired and infallible Word of God, speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of human affairs. For purposes of New Hope Leadership Academy’s faith, doctrine, practice, discipline, and policy, the Board of Directors is the organization’s final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application.
